Snow

We had our first big snow of the season today. So I got all bundled up and begged to go outside.

I came up with a great idea. I collected water dripping from the church roof to help make our snowman!

Daddy couldn't have shoveled the sidewalk without my muscles! (Please don't look at my pink snow pants.)

This ball of snow was HEAVY. Our snowman is going to look awesome!

Ta-dah!

Trunk or Treat

For the past few years our AWANA club has hosted "Trunk or Treat". Parents and members of our church hand out candy from their car trunks in the church parking lot. So here is what we dressed up as...

Martin Luther

Baaaaaaaaaa

80's Girl

Little Red Riding Hood

Sea Otter

Olivia?

This is not a bad '80s workout video.
Actually, I am wearing my basketball headband. Don't all basketball players wear their sister's pink headbands? (Mommy has since found me something a bit more suitable.)

Play Time

Daddy and I played some wiffle ball. He taught me how to pitch!

Then he hit the ball over the house and made me run for it!

My brother and I are creating beautiful masterpieces!

No, I didn't just get out of the bath, why do you ask?

I hope he doesn't get any sweat on me!

School Days

I'm taking a very deserved break from my writing.

Taking some notes on Paul's journeys.

Cutting with scissors for the very first time! I still have all of my fingers too!
Sherman likes to hang out in my bed and dangle her arms over the edge. She also likes to keep me up at night with her purring. So unless she sneaks into my room, she's not allowed to sleep with me.

Save me.

My Big Boy Bed

I have finally graduated to my big boy bed. I'm a very good boy and I stay in bed after Mommy & Daddy tuck me in. That doesn't mean that they haven't found me watching movies in bed long after I should have been dreaming. Soon I'll learn from my sisters that if I say I need a drink of water then I can postpone sleeping.

Apple Orchard 2010

Another year, another visit to our favorite apple orchard.

Oh corn, how I've missed you! (If you remember, I did the same thing last year.)

We were only allowed to play in the corn if we promised not to get any corn in our shoes.

I sure hope my sister paid for that apple.
There was this big yellow air pillow that I bounced on! I had a great time!

I'm having a not so great time. It would have been a lot more fun if I could have stayed bouncing on my feet instead of my belly.

Choo-choo! All aboard the Apple Train!

When are they going to get this train movin'?

I wanted to ride the train twice just so I could have the last apple car.

The Ledge

We're hanging outside of the Sears Tower on the Skydeck Ledge. (It's been renamed Willis Tower but we refuse to call it that, haha.) The Ledge is a glass box 1,353 feet above the street below. It was a little scary at first but we overcame our fear to have our picture taken.

Happy 11th Birthday

It seems just like yesterday...

My first 11th year breakfast! I chose cinnamon rolls and they were delicious!

I took my friends to a pottery painting studio. We had a lot of fun.

It took many tries to blow out my candles. I couldn't stop laughing!

Cardinal Kitty

Don't laugh at my hat.

In the Woods

Block Party

Yes! I dumped all of the ice out of the cooler.

Now watch me play in it!

It's really hot out here. I'm glad we get to play in the water.

As a matter of fact, I did NOT comb my hair this morning.

Would you believe that I actually caught this water balloon?

Sherman likes her sandwiches freaky fast. (If you eat Jimmy John's, you know what I'm talking about.)

Theology

We like to read theology books together.

Happy 6th Birthday!

I am finally 6 years old! I was so excited that I woke up at 6:00 a.m.! Mommy usually makes a special breakfast for us but I decided that I would rather have donuts. Don't we look like we're having a blast? My sister and I are just happy that we get the day off from school!

After breakfast we moved on to opening presents. I got so many wonderful gifts!

My sister decided that she wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for her special day. As soon as we sat down I spotted the basketball game! I know that I am not tall enough to play by myself and I also know that Daddy is the only one who can help me. He ate as fast as he could because I wouldn't stop pointing and telling him that I wanted to play!

There is a virtual roller coaster ride that I couldn't stop talking about in the days leading up to our visit to CEC. I figured that the birthday girl would love to take a ride with me. Looks like we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into.

Ah, yes!
The annual showdown between Daddy and the Ragin' Ape. Of course Daddy won and the whole family cheered him on!
